Theology (and you love it!)

The Gospel is God

Much of American Christianity has made God a means to attain certain goals: Our happiness, our comfort, our fulfillment, our well-being, our eternal state, etc. Piper recalls that God Himself is the prize and goal of the Gospel and all of life. This book is a necessary corrective to our many perversions of the Gospel.

Getting Relationships Right (and it’s about time we did!)

Sacred Marriage: What If God Designed Marriage to Make Us Holy More Than to Make Us Happy?
by Gary Thomas
This is the best book I've read on marriage. It kicks your butt without leaving you feeling like a chump or helpless to do something about your marriage. It made me want to be more of a servant and actually look forward to it. Equally applicable to husbands and wives, new couples and seasoned pros, the author paints a spiritual picture of marriage that doesn't skip over the mundane or deep issues of marriage. It has the perfect amount of theoretical and practical, super easy to read, and is full of real life examples. The only way you would feel like a chump in this case is if you don't read it..... (Kate Merrick)

Sex and the Supremacy of Christ
by Piper and Taylor
Sexuality is not only one of the hottest topics of our culture but has also been on of the most divisive topics in the church today. If there was ever a time when the church needs to have a biblical view of sexuality it is now. All the contributing authors provide us with an abundance of scriptural insight and thought that will help us navigate this multi-layered topic with biblical faithfulness and compassion.
